Our girls

We have two papered girls who one day will each have a litter of puppies. Let us tell you a little about them and be sure to check out the photos below.

Joy

Joy is a yellow Labrador who we travelled all the way to a place near Orange in NSW to buy. It was here we met her wonderful breeders who we are grateful to for breeding such a gorgeous girl.

Joy has worked heavily in the Therapy Dog setting working in Primary Schools, High Schools, Kindergartens and Hospitals. Joy loves being a Therapy Dog and brings a calm disposition to this role. Her soft and gentle side is beautiful to watch when she is interacting with people as a Therapy Dog.

Joy is now also competing in Gun Dog Retrieve Trials. Joy has won almost all of the events we have entered her in and consistently brings home ribbons. In our most recent trial in February 2026, she won both of the Open Trials on the same day.

Joy has also dabbled in a Tricks Competition and placed second in her event. I was 5 weeks postpartum with our baby in tow, it was our very first Tricks Competition, we had minimal practise and she gave it her all, bringing home the second place ribbon.

Joy is a beautiful family dog and a very much loved member of our family. She is gentle and has a wonderful temperament for her Therapy Dog work. She can then step out onto the Gun Dog Retrieve Trial scene and do what Gun Dogs were bred to do. She’s a versatile girl who we adore.

Gidgee

Gidgee is a Springer Spaniel with a huge work ethic! Gidgee wants to work all day every day. Most of her family members are in working roles such as Cane Toad detection, Retrieve Trial and Field Trial competitions and other detection roles across working for companies across Australia.

Gidgee has a beautiful temperament and is our 4 year old daughter’s “favourite dog” which is quite a prestigious status!

Gidgee has a gentle disposition when she is with us and our family but as soon as it’s time to work, she is on. Fast, agile and willing. Gidgee wants to work and loves to work.

Gidgee has done Evidence Search; finding an item unnatural to the environment, last touched by a human and is now competing in Gun Dog Retrieve Trials.

Gidgee has learnt many things over the years in different arenas. She has been a demonstration dog in Dog Training classes, she has been handled by adolescents who have been on courses with us, she has dabbled in agility (never competed) and has very recently started some detection work.

Gidgee is a much loved member of our family and a firecracker to work with. There really is something about working with a dog that has such a huge work ethic and willingness to work with you.
